ON AIR: Home Work City by Eireen Schreurs and Frances Holliss
In a special edition of Over Wonen gesproken ON AIR Architect Eireen Schreurs will give a lecture on the publication of DASH15 Home Work City. Together with the DASH-editorial team she explored the spatial and cultural impact of working on urban domestic culture. They unlock, from an international perspective, contemporary and historical references on architectural type and urban context at the level of the building block. In an online conversation with British architect and researcher Frances Holliss (London Metropolitan University) they explore what might be learned about live-work connections in times of Covid-19.
About Over wonen gesproken (Talks on urban living)
With this program AIR is searching for new perspectives on attractive and future-proof urban living. Rotterdam wants to build some 50.000 new homes in the next decade. Furthermore the City wants to vigorously improve the spatial quality and energy performance of the existing built environment. AIR explores these ambitions through public debate, highlights high quality architecture and proven historical references and searches for innovative new concepts and references for Rotterdam to learn from.
