TALKS #15 – Muoto (FR)
The Paris based architecture studio Muoto (meaning form in Finnish), founded by architects Gilles Delalex and Yves Moreau in 2003, is the third guest of this years’ TALKS about architecture series.
The studio’s work often features minimal structures made of rough materials, as a means to combine different activities, and merge economical as well as aesthetic issues. Vertical diversity as an articulation between building and city scales is a recurrent figure in Muoto’s projects. The open nature of Muoto’s buildings fuels the contexts of each project with an optimistic spirit, evoking interaction, exchange and fun from their users.
TALKS about architecture invites a new generation of architects to discuss their work. What they have in common is that they view architecture as an artistic discipline. The social relevance of the work stems from the poetic and spatial qualities of the work itself.
TALKS is an initiative of Rotterdam-based architecture office De Kort Van Schaik and is organized in partnership with AIR.
